What is your primary product or service?
We are a tune, service, and repair pianos. We also are able to sell piano benches, piano bench pads, and piano care products.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Ever since I was a child singing in my elementary and middle school choirs, wrote and directed a musical while in high school, and took piano lessons as a young adult, I have always been drawn to music, and especially the piano. Due to my interest in music--especially the piano, my love for helping others, problem solving skills and creativity, a former school teacher of mine suggested I return to school and attend the world-famous Emil Fries Piano Hospital and Training Center in Vancouver, Washington to become a piano tuner & technician.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
First, I received my formal training in piano technology (piano tuning, servicing, and repair) from the world-famous Emil Fries Piano Hospital and Training Center in Vancouver, Washington, which is also fully accredited. While at the Piano Hospital, I learned the fine art of aural tuning (tuning by ear), which most piano tuners do not know how to do. Instead, they rely on special software to tell them when a piano is tuned correctly. Piano manufactures such as Steinway suggest using aural tuning to tune their pianos. While I am an aural tuner, I also use the special tuning software to a limited degree to help give my clients the advantages of both techniques.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We are a one-person ran operation (Hy Cohen) who comes to our clients' locations to tune, service, and/or repair their treasured pianos.

Our "office" is located in the private home of Hy Cohen, owner & piano tuner / technician of Hy Quality Piano Service. Since we go to wherever our clients are located to work on their pianos, it is extremely rare to have anyone actually come to our physical location.
What type of payments do you accept?
We accept cash, personal check, money order, and credit cards via PayPal (www.paypal.com).
Which areas do you service?
We serve the greater Stockton, Modesto, Lodi, and southern Sacramento area. Generally speaking, we serve within 40 miles of downtown Lodi, CA. If a client lives outside of that area, special arrangements may be able to be made, so please feel free to contact us.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
Hayim "Hy" Cohen is the owner, operator, and the piano tuner / technician.
What are your hours of operation?
Our hours are: Monday - Friday: 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Saturday: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and we're closed on Sunday. However, our schedule is often flexible, so please feel free to contact us to see if we are available at another time other than our "official" hours.
